Chapter 458 – Everyone is Savage
Chapter 458 – Everyone is Savage
— NPC can be deaf?
— lol, this is hilarious. Breeze got yelled at from speaking too quietly
— AH?! WHAT DID YOU SAY? SPEAK LOUDER!
Max scratched his cheek. He indeed didn't expect this at all.
"I thought it's secrecy and all that shit. How could the store keeper be deaf then? It doesn't make sense but it's funny."
A bias. He liked this game, so the strange game's story didn't make him mad but laugh.
"Excuse me, lady. Spirits stand beside us; fear has no place in this realm." He repeated in a louder voice this time, and the lady frowned.
"Keep your voice down, fool! No one should hear that phrase but me! Tsk, young'uns these days. Follow me inside. Quick now!"
The clerk entered the wooden door behind him but Max stood still. The blue fire appeared to urge him inside, but he didn't move.
He felt a bit angry.
"I think an evil spirit has possessed the lady. I should exercise it with my Tarot Card before she suffers any longer and send her poor soul to the afterlife." He said, smiling softly. A vein popped up on his temple.
— Hahaha, you're right. Exorcise that lady.
— He has gone mad lol
— Don't, Breeze. She's the only weapon dealer in this city!
— You mean tool dealer lol. She sell no weapon, just antique stuff
— Those antique stuff you mentioned are not antique at the setting right now.
Sighing, Max entered the store. The story wouldn't progress if he stood around doing nothing.
"Let's rob this old lady." He said as he looked around the store's interior.
Unlike what was displayed outside, many 'antiques' lined behind the shelf protected by glass. The collection ranged from a simple cup to a cane. Talismans were plastered over the handle as if to contain something behind it.
For the record, glasses were rare at this age, so this was pretty amazing.
"I heard from that brat Collon. Take one you fancy, whatever it is. But only one. Understand?"
"I understand." Max nodded.
"Tsk, you can't even properly respond. Young'uns these days..." The old lady walked out of the store and slammed the door shut.
Max watched her disappearing back and blinked. Did he just hear it right? He responded properly, even nodding his head.
— ...
— Now he just calls her lady and not an evil spirit.
— His evil intention is as clear as day
— We support your decision! Please do it!
— I do not condone bullying. But accidents can happen. It's not your fault if someone becomes deaf because you cracked your whip!
Max chuckled evilly. He remembered the whip for now. However, he had enough jokes. Enjoy new chapters from empire
"Let's take the whip someday. For the free tool, I might take my time again to choose another one. The free tool selection is too precious to spend it exorcising the evil spirit inside the lady."
He looked around once again.
After walking for what was like 5 minutes, back and forth from the entrance to the end of the corridor, he had two tools he fancied.
One of them was a stick. However, it wasn't a normal stick. The description was like this.
– Legendary Stick -> Held by the exorcist, a positive energy will form around it in the shape of a blade. The power is based on the wielder's power.
Yes, this was the legendary stick that Max always heard of in his past life. It existed in this game.
When he read the description, he stopped and screamed in his mind.
'This is it! I can beat the Demon Lord with this legendary stick!'
Unfortunately, there was no Demon Lord to beat. So he didn't need this stick as much.
Compared to it, another item caught his eyes. It was a pair of... tong. Yes, a cooking tong made from silver.
The description of its effect was a bit... crazy.
– Exorcist Tong -> Held by the exorcist, a positive energy will form a giant tong. Use it to grab an evil spirit and lift it in the air. Effective against low and medium level spirit.
Nodding in satisfaction, he decided.
"I will take the tong. With this, I can grab the lady and drop her from the sky if she can't hear my question. Perfect!"
— Crazy guy
— He actually chose the tong. He's about to cook those evil spirits
— lol, to think he choose this out of all the tools in this corridor
— Tong... Clap clap. Sorry, can't help it. I will always try it if I have it in my hand.
