Chapter 62 Li Wei found the car
Chapter 62 Li Wei found the car
There is an old Chinese saying: "We will meet again anywhere in life."
Li Wei now feels this sentence particularly deeply.
Who would have thought that the idiot you randomly encounter on the street who gets high on drugs and speeds, then recklessly gets himself killed by a truck, is actually Matt Damon's only son?
However, he could somewhat understand why the guys in the BMW lied to Matt Damon to shirk responsibility, saying they had run over his son and fled the scene.
It's about survival, there's nothing shameful about it.
However, Matt Damon's private army is really not very effective.
With those four guys' skill level, they wouldn't even be able to get into the Marines, let alone the Rangers.
At best, they're only at the level of the National Guard.
However, after figuring out the whole story, Li Wei didn't rush to seek revenge on Matt Damon.
Instead, they stole the four guys' car and headed to Miami International Airport.
Firstly, he had promised Thomas that he would wait for him after he got off the plane.
However, out of retaliatory pranks for Thomas stopping him from continuing the game, he decided to ignore Matt Damon for the time being and give Thomas a little trouble.
Of course, we can't let Thomas actually get into trouble.
After all, Thomas was his friend.
Because he was looking forward to seeing what would happen, Li Wei drove much more happily.
Those four guys' cars suffered a lot because of this.
But who cares?
Li Wei felt he hadn't been that polite to Wesker's car, let alone the few "private soldiers" who wanted to kill him.
He arrived at the gate of Miami International Airport with a sense of excitement. Without caring whether it was a no-parking zone or not, he got out of the car and walked into the airport.
"Hey sir! Parking isn't allowed here!"
As luck would have it, Li Wei was warned by a policeman as soon as he got out of the car.
"Then tow the car away."
Li Wei talked nonchalantly for an entire episode, without even stopping his steps.
The policeman, however, was quite persistent.
"Sir! If you refuse to listen to my advice, I will really call the police and have your car towed away!"
"Whatever makes you happy!"
Li Wei, who had already walked some distance away, said this without turning his head.
The policeman immediately felt that his authority had been challenged.
"Hey! You wretched bastard! I warned you!"
The police officer shouted something and immediately pressed the walkie-talkie to call a tow truck.
Li Wei walked into the airport without looking back.
However, after Li Wei entered the room, he remembered a problem.
He forgot to ask which door Thomas would come out of.
So now he doesn't know which arrival hall to wait for him at.
Li Wei immediately took out his phone and called Thomas.
But this time, Thomas didn't answer.
We should be almost there, so we turned off the satellite transceiver on the plane in advance.
"Okay, then I'll just have to look it up myself."
Li Wei took out his phone and started checking the flight list.
But after looking around, he found that either the time didn't match or the departure point didn't match.
"Damn, that rich bastard must be on a private jet again!"
However, this actually helped Li Wei figure out which arrival hall to go to.
North Terminal D Hall.
Private jets and charter flights typically park at the business jet terminal in this area.
However, a new problem arose.
The area he's currently in is quite far from Zone D of the North Terminal...
Li Wei quickly turned around and went out, where he witnessed a very hurtful scene.
The car he had stolen had already been towed away on the back of a tow truck, leaving only his increasingly smaller taillights behind.
Li Wei is now filled with regret...
When the policeman who had ordered the car to be towed away saw Li Wei return with a rather annoyed expression, he couldn't help but feel a little smug.
"I told you, sir."
"If you refuse to cooperate, I will tow your car away."
Li Wei ignored him and instead briefly calculated the time it would take to walk there...
Damn! I'm so tired!
Li Wei decided not to cause himself any trouble, and instead went to the policeman.
"Hello, officer, could you please bring your car over and take me to Zone D of North Terminal?"
Li Wei was very polite when he asked for help.
But the police were dumbfounded.
Li Wei glanced at his tactical watch.
After all that trouble, Thomas will arrive in less than half an hour.
So he decided... to reason with them.
"Hey! Officer! I'm asking for your help as a resident of Miami."
"I believe you have a responsibility to provide me with reasonable assistance within the scope of your authority. Now go get your car; my friend will be getting off the plane in less than thirty minutes, and I must get to Terminal D of the North Terminal as soon as possible to pick him up."
At this point, the police officer finally realized what was happening.
"On what grounds?"
However, he neither refused nor agreed, but instead asked this question with a completely bewildered expression.
"My car was towed away."
Li Wei shrugged and pointed in the direction the tow truck had left.
"You called the tow truck."
Li Wei calmly pointed out the specific reason why the car was gone.
The police felt that what Li Wei said... seemed to make some sense?
"Sir, please wait a moment, I... my mind is a little muddled right now."
As the officer spoke, he took out a box of Marlboro cigarettes from his shirt pocket, pulled one out, put it in his mouth, and lit it.
He took a deep breath and drew almost a third of it.
Li Wei glanced at his tactical watch; there were about twenty minutes left.
"Hurry! Get moving! Time waits for no one!"
Li Wei urged him on as a matter of course, leaving the police officer dumbfounded.
"You don't want me to file a complaint against you with the Miami Police Department, do you?"
The officer immediately realized the seriousness of the situation.
He seemed to see administrative investigations and disciplinary actions beckoning him!
"Five minutes!"
The officer immediately pressed down on his hat and ran quickly toward a police car parked on the side of the road.
Three minutes later, the police car stopped in front of Li Wei.
Li Wei opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.
"Beihang Building, Section D! Within fifteen minutes! We must race against time! Get this big vehicle moving! Hurry! Charge!"
Li Wei's "passionate" reaction gave the police officer a rather impolite idea.
Could this person be a lunatic?
"What are you waiting for? Or are you planning to let me drive?"
Li Wei looked puzzled.
The officer immediately understood.
I was right, this guy is a lunatic.
However, people who lack the capacity for independent action are extremely easy to evade punishment, no matter what is done to them!
The officer, who dared not gamble, immediately stepped on the gas and did everything in his power to satisfy the lunatic's demands as soon as possible and keep him away from him.
We sped along and arrived at Area D of the North Terminal in less than ten minutes.
The police officers, who had never driven so fast before, were flustered even after the car stopped.
David pushed open the car door and got out on one leg.
"Thank you, your driving skills are amazing, you should really try being a race car driver."
As he left, he didn't forget to praise the policeman.
But the next moment, he broke the law.
In order to save time, he did not follow the planned route, but instead stepped over the railing with one leg.
However, the police officers watching this scene were no longer interested in interfering, but instead began to think about a problem.
Maybe I really should give up this ridiculous job as a "police officer" and become a race car driver...
