After the mining bureau completed the relevant work, it issued them a verification form. All they had to do was take the verification form to the tax bureau to pay the taxes, and then they could go to the official gold purchasing office to convert the gold into cash.

The mining bureau and the tax office are located at opposite ends of Anchorage, about a half-hour drive apart.
