Chapter 153 Gathering

Chapter 153 Gathering

Chapter 154 Gathering

The day after the mine attack, Zhou Xin contacted Jackson of the CIA.

He didn't intend to hide this, because Jackson had told him that by completing CIA missions, his authority within the CIA would be elevated.

He hoped that one day he would gain access to the CIA's internal intelligence network.

Of course, he knew that would be extremely difficult unless he made a truly extraordinary contribution and gained complete control of the CIA.

Approval from higher management.

Things need to be done step by step. At least this matter can prove my worth to some extent.

After listening to his description, Jackson did not object to his killing of the six infiltrators.

On the contrary, after Zhou Xin told Jackson how to access the dark web, as well as the account and password, Jackson highly praised his actions.

This relieved Zhou Xin a little. It seemed that killing a few criminals like this was not a big deal for the CIA.

This is the true face of America, a country that prides itself on human rights: people who are useless to society and cannot generate tax revenue for the government are just trash.

"You did a good job. Maybe we can use this account and password to lock down some Bloodthirst gang members."

"Will this incident grant me some level of authority with you?" Zhou Xin asked eagerly.

Jackson smiled and said, "I'll report this to higher authorities. As for whether you can get a promotion, that depends on how the guys in HR evaluate it."

Zhou Xin was not surprised by Jackson's answer.

This is, after all, the CIA, the most powerful intelligence agency in the world's strongest nation. It would be strange if I could gain their trust and attention so easily.

But regardless, at least Jackson used to trust and value him quite a bit.

With his help, it's like having an extra trump card in your hand.

Zhou Xin fiddled with the two Bloodthirst Gang rings in his hand, pondering how to find an opportunity to naturally approach them and then infiltrate their ranks.

He would be happy to help complete the CIA's mission, provided that his own safety was guaranteed.

Time flies, and it's already the weekend.

This was the day James had told him about the gold prospectors' gathering.

He initially intended to go alone, but then he remembered that Zhang Jianing still harbored some resentment after the last incident.

Ying thought of taking her to a lively place to adjust her mood.

Zhang Jianing seemed very happy to attend the party, as she had been feeling a bit bored staying at the mine for some time.

She dressed up carefully for the party, wearing a beautiful dress that made her look elegant and sophisticated.

"Tonight, you're going to be the center of attention, and I have to stop you from seeing any other men," Zhou Xin joked.

Zhang Jianing chuckled and said, "Don't worry, I won't even glance at other men. Besides, I think you'll be the focus tonight."

Just now, Zhou Xin told her about his fame in the Gold Rush Guild, which made her feel a surge of pride.

For a woman, it is a very fulfilling thing for her man to become someone who is admired and adored by others.

Looking at the woman dressed so beautifully, her eyes filled with nothing but him, Zhou Xin was momentarily moved and couldn't help but hug her and give her another passionate kiss.

The Gold Rush Guild's gathering took place in a private residence in Anchorage, owned by the guild's president.

After Zhou Xin parked the car, he took Zhang Jianing's arm and walked towards the residence.

The lawn outside the house was decorated with lanterns and colorful lights, with grills for roasting meat and long tables laden with pastries, fruits, and drinks, creating a lively atmosphere.

The lawn was full of people, chatting idly in twos and threes while holding drinks.

Judging from the noise, the room was obviously just as lively.

The arrival of Zhou and Xin caused quite a stir.

The commotion originated from the men in the room, and the object of their commotion was Zhang Jianing, who was standing next to Zhou Xin.

Zhou Xin then noticed that most of the people present were men, with only a few women, and most of them were older.

Without a doubt, Zhang Jianing's arrival was like a dazzling pearl, making these men's eyes pop out.

Zhou Xin realized that because gold panning was a tough job, most of the people who did it were men, and very few women were willing to endure the hardship.

There are three great joys in mining: gold mines, sunny skies, and beautiful women. This saying highlights the scarcity of female resources in mining operations.

"Xin, you're finally here!"

A man walked through the crowd, a broad smile on his face, toward the two of them; it was James.

"Sorry, I didn't estimate the time well, we left a little late." Zhou Xin and James hugged warmly, and James then politely shook hands with Zhang Jianing.

"Ms. Zhang, you look absolutely stunning today. Your presence has brightened up the whole world around me."

"Thank you," Zhang Jianing said with a polite smile.

"Are you Xin from the group?" a middle-aged woman asked as she walked over.

"Yes, I think you must be Ms. Blair, right?" Zhou Xin thought for a moment and guessed the woman's identity.

"You're a really smart man, no wonder you were able to accomplish such a feat," Blair said, shaking hands with Zhou Xin.

"You flatter me. I was just lucky."

"Hmph, your luck really makes me jealous!" A young voice rang out from the side. Zhou Xin looked over and saw a man in his thirties.

"Frederick, Shin didn't just rely on luck; he relied on his vision and wisdom. If you really want to surpass Parker, you have to learn from him!" Blair said to the man.

Frederick walked up to Zhou Xin with a frustrated look on his face and looked him up and down carefully.

"How did you, an ordinary-looking Easterner, manage to find gold in that piece of land?"

Zhou Xin smiled and said, "My method is very simple: persevere, and then stay low-key and down-to-earth."

James clapped his hands and said, "Well said, Frederick, did you hear that? Be down-to-earth. You're just too restless, always dreaming of getting rich overnight!"

Frederick curled his lip and said, "If I could be like him and find a super rich ore deposit on my first mining trip, I could feel just as at ease."

James shook his head and sighed, "It seems you still haven't grasped the qualities of a gold prospector."

Just then, another voice came from ahead: "James, is this the young man from the East you mentioned? He looks even younger than I thought!"

The voice came from an elderly man in his sixties, with gray hair but a vigorous spirit.

"That's right, it's him. Come here, Xin, let me introduce you. He is Mr. Stanton, the president of our Anchorage Gold Rush Guild."
